I'm done with new drivers dropping in 15 minutes before qualifying without Teamspeak. I've been vowing to lock the server for a few weeks now but it was too tempting seeing over 40 drivers post times with something like 28 under the 107% cutoff so I left it open again. The two new drivers today were a nice boost to what would have been a 10 driver grid but their presence didn't improve the racing and was just one more thing for me to deal with when I hadn't done a lap all week. I'm going to try locking the server all week to force those who want to race with us to spend a little bit of effort to acquire the password. IF YOU DON"T HAVE THE PASSWORD you can request it a number of ways: email: efnetsimracing@gmail.com register for this forum and post or PM join us on Teamspeak during Official Practice, here's how: efnetsimracing.freeforums.net/thread/10/simtek-gt3-2020-drivers-start

Congrats to the Winners and podium finishers. This is a very fast track but highly technical where mistakes can be disastrous.
I couldn't equal my best time when it was Qualy time and every lap I did had something happen to land me in 5th spot on the grid.
Race one just dug in and wound up 4th at the end with the top 3 out in front of me but still in sight most of the time.
Race two was interesting in turn one at the start. Brandon just ahead of me to my left got loose under braking and his car pitched the nose in front of me leaving me no room.I deflected off him sending me off track, gathering myself back up getting back on track more cars were tangled up to my left. I came back on in 3rd or 4th( Don't remember). I was able to pass to get upto 2nd spot. By this time Pat had pulled a nice lead having avoided the carnage behind. As I was concentrating on gaining back some time on him I had Hutty looming in my mirrors and was sure he'd be passing me quickly, but to my surprise after a bit I actually started to pull a gap on him. I was able to get to 2 seconds from Pat but that was it and where we finished.

I looked at the Race 2 Lap 1 Turn 1 incident that I was involved in.
I was keying off of Eric Richard to set my spacing and braking. The track was clear ahead of him until Brandon got squirrely under braking which made Eric brake extra to avoid Brandon which I didn't leave room for. Sucks, started the dominoes falling on another shitty race for me, closer to racing incident than my fault but I'll take the blame because in the end I spun Eric.
I DNF'ed but finished P10 / 11 so I'll ring myself up for the one position penalty to P11. Need to be more careful at T1 gentlemen, especially in Race 2.

Working on the poster for next Sunday, having difficulty finding good pics discovered that while Imola is on the 2020 GT3 World Challenge Europe calendar (July), I had to go all the way back to 2015 when Imola was the venue for an Official Test but there were no official pics. Other than 2020, Imola has not been on the schedule.

Congrats to the winners and podium finishers
Race 1 blew the motor due to the extra downshift on lap 2 and won race 2. Had fun and did not have a chance to mess anyone's race up. See you all Sunday. Cheers
