Race day tips and routine
The race server will be reset immediately before Official Practice.
13 AI will be added to help rubber-in the virgin Naturally Progressing track surface. The AI will be booted after 30 minutes.
The track will accumulate more and more rubber as well as possibly "marbles" as the program progresses all the way through the last race.
Please ask questions and resolve any issues ASAP during Official Practice.
Qualifying is always Private, you won't see any other cars on the track. Please do not chat or talk during qualifying, please wait till all drivers have completed their hot laps. Either wait till the session automatically rolls over to Warmup or check Standings and cameras to be sure that everyone is done.
There will be a 5 minute drivers meeting after qualifying ahead of Race 1.
If you leave the server anytime after Qualifying and before the start of Race 2, please let us know before you quit so that we can know how to proceed, whether we need to wait for you to return.
There will be a Practice Start before Race 1. One formation lap plus one full race lap through at least Turn 1 of Lap 2.
Barring technical issues during the Practice Start, the Official Start will follow immediately afterwards.
After the race, we'll go back to Warmup, the grid will be inverted, Warmup will be re-started for a full 5 minute Warmup. You may take a break or go out on track.
Following Warmup, we'll have the same procedure for Race 2; full lap Practice Start then the race Official Start.
If you have a technical problem (controls problem, audio, computer glitch, etc) before the completion of Lap 1, we'll restart the race. Let us know ASAP by in-game chat if you have a technical problem. Most of us including the race director and admins mute their headphones during the races but are available during the Practice Starts.
After the final race, the server will be set as soon as practical to either the next event of the championship or another car set and track just for fun or for testing.
Replays are usually posted Sunday night.
Results and stats are usually posted by Tuesday morning.
Standings are usually posted by Wednesday morning.
Results, stats and standings are subject to delay due to race incidents; Incident Reports and penalties pending.
