I liked the Simtek GT3 cars but these will hopefully appeal to a wider audience.
One might complain that there are only five cars but when we had 8 choices, only four cars were represented, the overwhelming majority in Ferraris.
From a quick test and prior experience with Enduracers offerings, these cars will be excellent and surpass the Simtek GT3 cars (and possibly even the Official S397 GT3 cars) by having legitimate, fully adjustable and highly effective traction control that does not depend on the rF2 traction aid.
The real world GTE cars differ from GT3 cars in that they have TC but no ABS. For the time being, we will stay true to real world and leave ABS OFF. You might notice that TC is also OFF in the server setting but rest assured that it is still enabled and adjustable in GARAGE / Advanced and in-car.
Based on server stats, there was basically no public interest in the Miatas and not much in the Datsun B110s. Forget about the Howsten Dissenter and evidently anything remotely difficult to drive.
After a week or two of the GTE cars, we might have to jump straight to S397 GT3 cars if we hope to have a championship series this winter. Because they are paid content, they are not easy to get onto the server. I managed to get a few of them onto the server months ago but I don't actually know how to do it, otherwise I would have had them up a long time ago.

I want to change up the format slightly, expecting that these will be Fun Races again.
For the first two races, I'd like to mimic our Twin Sprint format but with 10 minute timed races; qualifying sets grid for Race 1, Race 2 is inversion of Race 1 finish.
After the first two, we'll shorten it up a bit so that we can get more races in starting with the same grid as Race 1 except that we'll move the two winners to the back or keep inverting as we go.

Annoying problem.
I have the server enabled with only the Enduracers GTE cars but ALL of the cars in the Enduracers v3.00 car pack are available to select when you are joining the server.
Please only choose one of the GTE cars otherwise the server will boot you later in the process.

I strongly recommend that those who haven't already purchased the GT3 cars do so during this sale but maybe wait till the last minute. The Halloween Sale ends "November 2". www.studio-397.com/2020/10/halloween-steam-sale-2020/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=halloween-steam-sale-2020We'll talk about this on Sunday. I hate asking people to spend money but as practical matters we've pushed paid content away for almost a year so at this point the cost could be considered as about $1USD a month and when S397 irons out the rF2 competition system, you'll be good to go. Unless everyone agrees otherwise, we won't be using any paid DLC tracks. Looking ahead, this winter will almost certainly decide whether we keep hosting championship racing. The best test of interest is seemingly the S397 GT3 cars. After four days we have had TWO new drivers on the server with the Enduracers GTE cars so evidently they aren't going to solve our attendance issues, either, despite being great cars. With both BTCC and Simtek GT3 we regularly had over 50 drivers complete at least one lap but even with those cars we peaked at maybe 15 entries on race day. I'll have to figure out how to get the Studio 397 GT3 cars onto the race server ASAP. If I can get them up before Sunday, I will but my goal is for them to be the basis for Test Race #12 on Sunday, November 8. I recognize that we might have had more drivers with a Steam Workshop track but there is some value in seeing how many are willing to do the minimal work that is required to download and install one of the best free tracks; having 20 drivers with standard and Workshop content dwindle to 6 because of something that easy isn't going to help us. If I can get the S397 cars up for next week, I'll be sure to use a Workshop or standard rF2 track.

Two more things.
USA changes back to Standard Time from Daylight Time this Sunday so the sun will set one hour sooner according to our clocks. 6:30 PM on Saturday will be 5:30 PM on Sunday.
If you can't race on Sunday, please join us on Teamspeak around 8:00 PM PST to discuss ESR's near future and upcoming series.

I was able to get the Studio 397 GT3 cars onto the server.
Pain in the ass because the best information that I found wasn't really that great. Follow the instructions verbatim 10X with no success then figure out what the OP and the next 30 posts left out.
Three plus hours invested plus only two drivers all week on the server with the Enduracers cars (probably because it's impossible to know when picking a car that you're supposed to select one of the GTE cars) has me thinking that it's time to gain a week's time, join the rest of the rF2 planet and use the Studio 397 GT3 cars this weekend but I want some feedback and to see what happens during the next 24 hours as far as server traffic.

I won't be able to get on till tomorrow night night Tom. But looking forward to it! We might be back to Enduracers by then pending feedback. I don't want to lose any of us in the core group. Do KJ and Barry have the GT3 cars?

I tried to connect to the server today and seemed to have an issue grabbing the MOD. I had the GT3 pack and Watkins installed. Could just be me... I should have latest public version of the GT3 pack (I connected to some unpassworded servers OK). If anyone else (other than Tom) can confirm they connect that would help my troubleshooting.

I'll check to see if I might have accidentally added a car that doesn't belong.

OK, now I know it's an issue on this end then. Thanks.
