It's Thursday, just now getting around to posting.
Too many possibilities this week, not one clunker.
Advanced Mazda @ Road America, Skip Barber F2000 @ Ledenon, Sim Lab PCC @ Summit Point.
I can skip one more Advanced Mazda but RA would not be my first choice to drop.
On the private league side, Ray eSports Unofficial SCCA was at Sebring Club Tuesday evening with FV/FF and Mazda MX-5 Cup NOT Global MX-5.
I misunderstood the qualifying time for FF and missed Q so I started P24 or P25, tangled wheels and got spun with spotter implying that I was clear. That dropped me to dead last by at least 10 seconds. I did a few more laps and quit to get ready for the Mazda SMX race.
The Mazdas went much better. I was top in practice for most of it, got edged out near the end IIRC. I qualified third, lost a spot on the start, had one passing opportunity that didn't work out, faded to 4-5 seconds back from P3 who in turn fell back 2-3 sec from the leaders. This older Mazda has a different tire model evidently and most of us seem to have used up our tires. I missed a couple of settings with a hasty oversteer biased setup that would have pushed it even more in the eager to turn direction. The Pontiac Soltice was transformed by the same trick so I am optimistic that the Mazda SMX will be even better next week at what used to be one of my favorite tracks - Daytona.
Ray eSports Weekend Warriors Formula Ford is at CTMP which I liked in the two rFactor sims but haven't paid on iRacing so $15 saved and time gained by skipping that. That works for me...
