Weekend Warriors Formula Ford @ Okayama, Sim Lab PCC @ Phoenix, Formula 1600 Trophy @ Phillip Island, Skip Barber @ Laguna Seca, Advanced Mazda @ Nordschliefe and Spec Racer Ford @ Lime Rock are the possibilities for me this week.
I already completed a Formula Ford race and a Sim Lab Mustang race.
The Formula Ford race would have been great if cars didn't spin in front of me twice, leaving me nowhere to go. The first was with me following the #4 seed, comfortably ahead of P3, but having zero trust in #4, didn't want him behind me. Ironically, having him in front of me wasn't much better, as he spun @ MG (BTW, having a corner named after you here seems a fleeting honor). I mostly avoided him but did get a 4X and passed by P1-3. I was mad for a minute because #4 was clearly over his head and prior to me letting him lead was passing in stupid spots when the front straight is a guaranteed draft and pass, even possible from the exit of the final corner to start/finish but I realized that I would be able to catch the lead battle. Unfortunately, not much after I caught up and was in contention for the win, another one lost it ahead of me, this time @ T2 Southern Loop. I wasn't able to avoid that one even a little bit other than slowing down some ahead of impact. 4X and aero damage that slowed me by 1-2 sec per lap. I held on to finish a lonely P4 but my SR plummeted to 4.10 which put me in OCD work it off mode for the rest of the evening. Sadly, I think that public Formula Ford races are another one to avoid as the cars can be tricky.
The Sim Lab race @ Phoenix helped with a win and, more importantly to me, 0X which has me back to A4.40.
I have rotator cuff issues with both of my shoulders but both have been fine for over a year. Unfortunately, my left one went to shit suddenly. Tuesday morning, I couldn't lift my arm without pushing through pain. 24 hours, rest, a massage, doctor visit, ice and 3200 mgs of iboprofen later, it's less bad but I am going to abstain from the sim wheel until at least Saturday night, can't risk losing any more productive days.
