I'll be competing in the FF Weekend Warriors Formula Ford S2 class again for Season 3.
For iRacing official races and Race Participation, my plan is to get more time with the Formula Ford by running in the Formula 1600 Trophy series and more time with the Dallara P217 to be better prepared for the iRacing Special Events AND get paid more ($7 instead of $4) by running the A-license European Sprint Pure Driving School Series.
In contrast to Season 2, I have at least 8 of the Formula 1600 Trophy tracks.
I've only entered one of the European Sprint Pure Driving School Series races but I was very pleased with the racing skill level and sportsmanship and it'll be good for me to get more time with the P217 to better prepared for iRacing Special Events.
Those two max out my Race Participation credit and hopefully will keep my SR topped out but I'll surely at the very least do laps with the FR500S Mustang and Miata especially when they are at fun tracks.
Subject to change based on the final WW FF schedule, I'm buying Willow Springs, Mid Ohio and Belle Isle. New for Season 3 Motorland Aragon is one of my favorite tracks and Jerez looks and probably is great but math says that I'm better off only buying what I need for the season. I am pleased that I am "forced" to buy Willow Springs, wanted it anyway.
FF WW is @ Laguna Seca, Formula 1600 Trophy @ Oulton Park and ESPDSS @ Interlagos.

I had a bit of a re-think.
Weekend Warriors drops 3 rounds from the championship tally, the B license LMP2 series with the P217 series also pays $7, is fixed setup with only 20 minute races so much less time required than ESPDSS and its open setup 60 minute races, ESPDSS looks to be slim pickings as far as having enough entries for a race never mind having a full split and is multiclass so might only be 6 or 7 P217s on a good day.
LMP2 makes more sense but if I'm just after minimizing cost then I can just run a couple of series for which I already have at least 8 tracks and like the cars anyway: Advanced Mazda, Sim Lab PCC, Skip Barber would all work.

I'm also reminded that Rally-X is a quick way to get Race Participation plus I don't give a squirt about iRating nor really SR on that license, comes down to how many of the Rally-X track are attached to road courses that I already have. Thanks Mike Campbell for that tip many months ago.

So much for LMP2 @ Watkins Glen. 9X in a 20 minute race that's supposedly A and B license. Cat herding rolling start, the 7th (I was 5th for reference) seeded POS was for whatever reason doing laps at virtual safety car pace when he wasn't off track moved right in front of me as approached the bus stop which gave the guy behind me nowhere to go but give us both 4Xs, aero damage or flames coming out of helmet made me slower than the guy who had been behind me and not gaining so dropped into iR loss position and then the same dickhead #7 caused another incident that made a car spin and block the track to be T-boned by me. I in turn got disoriented and got going in the wrong direction which fucked another guy who may or may not have deserved it and myself as I left him nowhere to go but run into me. I wasn't frantic to get going, just didn't realize that my heading was 180 degrees off.
Lost about 0.40 SR and 70 iR.
I would 10X better off doing the 1 hour race on a base setup.
Rally-X won't work for me without buying a track that I don't need for anything else.

Back to old faithful Sim Lab PCC and the Mustang @ Road Atlanta to work off the LMP2 SR hit. Relaxing race alone in class except that I touched a blade of grass at the chicane that lets one put a tire in the dirt for the right turn part of it but 30 feet earlier is an endangered species area so I 1X'ed which probably halved the SR payout. I have lost my focus on 0X as my SR was maxed out for most of Season 2 and with the league racing that has no SR jeopardy albeit does pay bonus points to low incidents.

Had a lonely but good Advanced Mazda race after not having driven that in at least 3 months and a questionable setup.
I realized earlier in the day with all the kids running around that school's out which can't be good for clean iRacing especially the more arcade-y short races and that I have no need to race the P217 weekly. ESPDSS is possibly still a good idea but for example, only one time slot (IIRC) on Friday had enough cars for an official race. It could be that "everyone" was getting ready for the Watkins Glen 6 HR and doing the 45 minute IMSA races instead but I only have 6 of the track for IMSA.
I doubt that the weekend will see completing a ESPDSS race so I'm also certainly changing it up to FF Weekend Warriors, FF1600 Trophy, Advanced Mazda, Skip Barber and Sim Lab PCC (Mustang) as priorities as sequenced.

I had my first class win with Weekend Warriors Formula Ford after having a good chance a few times before ruining it for myself.
The disastrous LMP2 and Sim Lab races that I already mentioned where all else that I had time for.
