It looks like Sim Lab PCC @ Charlotte and Global Fanatec @ Bathurst for me this week with Advanced Mazda @ VIR a possibility.

Week 9

Another clean week of racing, giant contrast from the first 18 months or so of iRacing for me when easily over 50% of my races where ruined by some frantic driver who would fail any Racecraft class. I've been "playing iRacing" in that I try to join races with full splits with a top half minus one position numerically finish as my goal but doesn't explain it as I'd probably been punted by higher iR rated drivers more often than lower ones.
Only three races, two with the Sim Lab PCC Mustang FR500S @ Charlotte and one with the Global Fanatec Cadillac CTS-VR @ Bathurst.
The first PCC race grouped me with Mustang hot shoe GG Griffin and a guy that was faster than him. Notably, Griffin's iRating has plummeted from above 5000 to about 2200 for whatever reason, fated or planned. He seemingly purposely DNS'ed a race that he shared with Coffey, FWIW. Anyway, he was slow to leave the pit lane pre-grid which from what I could see made him absent again. That combined with him being the #16 seed made for some confusion with me thinking that the #4 qualifier had moved up to the front row, effectively moving everyone being him up two positions. The end result was that P1 and P2 got a jump on the start but the net result was the same, Griffin and the other guy [Daylon Barr, A3.59 x 2438] in a class of their own with low 1:28s during the race compared to a 1:30.0xx PB for me at the time. I finished 3rd.
I made some setup changes and practiced more to improve my PB and race pace by maybe 0.5 sec and entered another race Sunday night. I was the fast guy for that one, got away from the P2 and P3 easily and settled in for a 0X race. About 15 minutes in I was daydreaming about something and put a wheel off to pick up an X so ruined that goal. Towards the end, Joshua Chin (A4.86 x 5944) was catching me with his GR86. I could see that he was the #1 seed and that he had a 10+ second gap to P2 in the GR86 class so I was tempted to race with him but the risk to reward calculation said not to, so I let him pass me when got to the infield section. He pulled away pretty easily.
Somewhere between the two PCC races, I completed a race with the Cadillac @ Bathurst. Qualified P6, ran as high as P4 (maybe P5) and finished P6, I can't remember why I lost a position, mistake or just racing. I had a 0X for the race but idiotically crashed on the cooldown lap, touching grass that I didn't even know existed between the asphalt and kwall bordering the track near the top of the mountain. I didn't hit hard but if at all but I got dinged for a 2X.
I finished the week A4.96 x 2612, 0.03 shy of my SR goal and over my superstitious but also practical iR goal of 2600.
Coffey has been bugging me to buy the Dallara P217 which I have no need for and he apparently got tired of pleading and gifted me iRacing credit enough to buy it as well as square us up on a debt so I guess I'll be doing a Time Trial with the P217 soon to get me to A4.99.
