Looks like Sim Lab PCC @ Hungaroring and Fanatec Global Challenge @ Spa are the possibilities for me this week.

One Sim Lab PCC (Mustang) race in the books, focusing on the Cadillac now, more likely to have a 12-20 car field than Sim Lab plus Spa races better than Hungaroring.

The Wed Jan 25 21:30 Fanatec Global Challenge @ Spa was posed to be a great race with well matched podium contenders and 19 entries.
I qualified the Lory Electric Cadillac CTS-VR P2 with a PB 0.059 sec off pole with the top 3 covered by about second. That was my first flying lap, unfortunately I lost it taking too much curb through Eau Rouge on what should have been the faster second lap.
I couldn't see the polesitter at the end of the formation lap (exit of the chicane), consequently went late and found myself P3 headed towards T1.
I went as wide as possible to leave room for cars to the inside but not enough for the #10 seed (Logan Hutchinson, Texas, D3.50 x 1422, 5 YEARS member) who ran out to the exit like there was no one else on the track and slammed into me. That damaged my RF fender and the suspension but thankfully no flat tire nor meatball flag to worry about. I momentarily caught back up to P3 but I couldn't keep up on the straight let alone draft and pass and fell back to a lonely and angry P4 where my divided attention and bent car cost me a 3 more Xs for a 7X total and a -0.33 SR hit.
I think that I could have won this one but am more angry about the ruined fun race and the work that my obsessed self will put in to get back to a 4.99 SR. I am on the verge of letting go of the SR or at least only work off my mistakes but I would prefer to start with a clean slate maxed out @ A4.99 and then do any math that is required immediately after a race.

I've read this time & time again about iRacing & that's what is wrong with it. Worrying about incidents instead of racing. That fear is always lurking in the back of your mind whether you admit it or not. I'm guilty of it also. I race in another sim on Tuesday nights in a league. We run on average 12- 20 guys every week with cars that are sometimes insane to handle, especially in the rain. I can count on one hand the careless incidents per race & yet no one cares about ratings & such. The ease of finding a race filled with humans is iRacing's forte but the rating system is their achilles heel.
