More straightforward for me this week and teammate Coffey will be here until Motoamerica resumes in 2023 so more fun, more laps and more improvement.
Sim Lab PCC Mustang @ Rudskogen and Advanced Mazda @ Suzuka East.
I haven't done any laps @ Rudskogen with the Mustang but did do an Advanced Mazda race last season at the short Suzuka layout which was a lot of fun.

I was wrong about Suzuka East, it's a different short layout from what Advanced Mazda used last season. Lap time is under 59 seconds. I thought that I was going to dislike it but it's growing on me, thinking that it'll race better than the West layout which didn't really have any great passing opportunities.

Week 3

I got two Sim Lab races out of the way, with both the Solstice and Mustang.
I entered the Solstice race without any practice expecting to be alone but instead was paired with a Solstice hot shoe, Herbert Prinz (A4.99 x 2971). I led a handful of laps but once Prinz got around me he checked out. 0X so I gained SR but lost iR. I wasn't ready to enter a Mustang race but missed out on another well attended race with 8 entries where I would have been in the fight for a podium if not a win based on my practice pace.
Somewhat opposite fortune for the Mustang race that I did enter. I was expecting more entries but there were only three of us. I qualified on pole, the slowest of us (Sil Woodhouse D2.54 x 403) dropped back early and I believe quit and the remaining driver (Wayne Mottram B4.77 x 1992) pressured me for the entire race about 5-6 seconds back after an early time penalty and probably some stumbling over Woodhouse. 0X and win that pretty much recovered the iR that I lost in the Solstice race.
No more Solstice (I keep telling myself)! I am better at keeping the Mustang on the track than I am at going fast in the Pontiac and the Solstice is stressful more often than not when encountering faster traffic. Having "skin in the game" because SR and iR makes the Solstice harder than the Mustang for me.
Assuming that I get a Mazda race in prior to Sunday evening, I'll be happy to run around in the Mustang if anyone (Pat at this point) is around. I expect to focus on the Mazda through at least Friday night, realistically Saturday night, I'm unlikely to go anywhere.

I threw away a good finish at T1 of the first lap of the Advanced Mazda race, losing the rear and bouncing off another car to fall from P3 to P7 with a big gap to P6. Once I caught up, it was 30+ laps of intense nose to tail racing, made it back to P4 at one point, may have gotten too comfortable after I fell to P6 thinking that P6 would be good enough with a 13 car grid to not lose iR. I lost iR and a chunk of SR (was back to A4.80) with an 8X due mostly my mistakes.
I ended the week A4.49 x 2231
