Advanced Mazda @ Laguna Seca, Sim Lab PCC @ Summit Point and Michelin Pilot Challenge @ Daytona for me this week.
Most looking forward to the two hour MPC race Friday evening, will probably get the Mazda over with ASAP and use Sim Lab as a remedy for bad races. If I'm around Sunday evening, Mustang or Solstice would be my pick. Not a big fan of Laguna Seca for racing.

Week 2

Business interfered and I didn't get home in time on Friday for the Michelin Pilot Challenge race, Saturday 07:00 is too early for me but was able to justify the Sunday afternoon slot that I was reminded of. Half unfortunately, I failed on the UTC to PDT conversion and sat down to practice 15 minutes after registration for the race closed. I accepted simply skipping GT4 for the rest of the season but I do genuinely like the 120 minute so I'll probably do some of them even though there will be no iRacing credits payday unless I buy a track or enter the Laguna Seca round.
I did enter two Sim Lab PCC races with the Mustang @ Summit Point. The first was uneventful except that I won. The second was set be great with 11 (ELEVEN!) Mustangs on the grid. I can't remember much other than being relieved that whomever [Jeff Andress A4.90 x 2231] was nipping at my heels made a mistake which gave me some breathing room and I finished 3rd behind a 4516 and a 3654 drivers and ahead of a 3034 driver so I gained iR but only a minimal amount of SR which I am more focused on.
The "safe" Solstice class kinda blew up in my face again.
The first race had a bunch of Solstice "entries" a few minutes before registration closed so I figured, great, 5-7 should be fun, I don't need any practice beyond qualifying. BS, there was only race entry other than me and I couldn't keep up. I had Xes in qualifying and the race so I lost SR and iR.
The second race would have probably been great if only I had managed a clean qualifying lap. Instead, I got mired in with an overly excited D driver (idiotic revving for 2 minutes on the grid, swerving all over on the formation lap) whom I absolutely did not want behind me so I followed for 2 or 3 laps having to avoid slamming into him at least twice per lap while 1st place checked out and I was a sitting duck for P3. I had good race with Dean Sherson (A2.58 x 1714) for P2 that was negatively affected by passing traffic. A Mustang gave me a 4X by apparently sideswiping me even though I didn't feel a thing and another one influenced me to put a wheel off for a 5X total. Getting lapped by most of the field made for some wins and losses but by the last lap I was close enough to 0X his rear bumper but I couldn't make a pass. I ended P3 of 5 but because of the overall field strength factored with my iR, I lost iR and SR, again.
Having missed the MPC race, I entered the Advanced Mazda race but made a disaster of that for myself. Wheels off on both of my Q laps which put me at the back and the starting lights snuck up on me at the race start and a lurched forward before the green, lacking practice with my playstation controller style controller that I am trying to use for standing starts because I no longer have a clutch pedal and I was penalized with a 6 second stop and go which relegated me to dead last, 21+ seconds behind the next car. Others failed during the race so I gained some positions to finish 17th but with 21 entries that was about 7 spots further back than the worst finish that I would aim for. Lost SR and iR but the silver lining is that I ruined my own race, no assists from other drivers.
I ended the week A4.52 x 2250.
