Week 9

I'm down only to one series with which I can complete 8 rounds, Sim Lab PCC, which has also proven to have the cleanest racing, so not so bad.
Interlagos with the Mustang FR500S will be a first, might try the Mazda and Solstice as well, less risky to get lapped in the Solstice at the Brazilian GP track than it was last week at the American club one.
In the unlikely event that I have too much time on my hands, I may wander over to the oval side to raise my SR there.

I've checked in on Team Speak on Saturday nights, sometimes on Sunday night but haven't had much luck catching anyone on. I haven't raced anything for about 2 months now. Just been doing ETS2, ATS with the GBR guys, ATS on Sunday nights. If not doing that then I'm doing Snowrunner, haven't been in the mood for sim racing lately but I'm sure as we get into winter I'll do some racing.

Week 9

Much, much better week than last, didn't get taken out once but I did spin on my own at Suzuka in the 5th gear (in a Mazda) corner (R130) and overall had enough wheel offs to hurt my SR.
I had to go to the member site to be reminded but I did 6 races which is probably the most for me in a week.
Two with the Solstice and two with the Mustang @ Interlagos. The Pontiac was just for SR and lucky in that regard with no other entries so zero pressure to go with the 90% boredom. Both of the Mustang races were good and clean, P2 and P1 respectively.
Two Advanced Mazda races @ Suzuka West which was an unexpectedly fun layout.
The timing was right for Advanced Mazdas @ Suzuka West but failed in regard to being smart about splits. I'm focused on finishing top half which is much easier when there's 28 cars.
The first race, I didn't even think about it because Coffey was enthusiastic about entering so I did, too. We seeded in the top split with only 12 cars and a 2147 SOF. The winner had a 4429 iR. I ran out of time on the second lap of Q and started 11th. I got stuck behind some slower cars and then something happened that let the bulk of the pack get away so it was basically race over for me by the 2nd or 3rd lap. Some luck reduced the pain but I only gained 0.05 SR to go with a -10 iR hit.
The second race, I entered solely based on 28 cars per split being stated in the rules and there were only 20 entries a few minutes before registration closed and 24 or 25 when I registered with less than 30 seconds left. I was dismayed when I found myself in the top split again with only 13 cars and basically no warmup. This race was actually looking good (P5 at the end of Lap 1) but I bottomed out on the exit curbing @ 130R for a 360 spin and got clipped in the left front by the car that had been behind me, dropping to P10. A little bit of speed but mostly luck got me back to P6 but with 7X so I lost 0.26 SR to sour the +30 iR.
I think that the series description is wrong and it's actually 25 cars max not 28 for Advanced Mazda.
I finished the week A4.46 x 1847.
