After getting knocked around the typical iRacing amount in the Week 13 test races despite having decent speed, sadly I may have add Interlagos as another track to avoid, too many places to have Fellow Man ruin my day so I may be sitting out the first Brazilian stock car round That still leaves more than enough possibilities for me for the week, in this order of desire: Sim Lab PCC @ Daytona (Mustang and Miata, 25 minutes) IMSA Pilot Challenge @ Sebring (Honda Civic TC and BMW M4 GT4, 30 minutes) Advanced Mazda @ Nordshliefe (35 minutes) I'll probably ghost race the start of a few of the Brazilian series races in hopes of seeing fewer incidents than I expect and encourage me to enter a race or two.

Had my first race of season 2 in the Formula Vee. It was so much fun last weekend that I bit the bullet & decided to race in D class. Its a risky move since there's lots of anxious drivers but it turned out ok. I qualified 7th with .5 seconds off the leader. Made it up to the top spot then back & forth with another guy for much of the race. Clean driving. Third place dude drafted up to us & lost it into turn 1. We crossed the line with .031 difference... he was behind me down the straight & just nudged by at the line. 0 incidents, +74 iratings and .10 SR. Not bad for a Tuesday night race.

First race of the season, instantly reminded to avoid the Mazdas.
Race ruined, T1, lap 1, -0.35 safety rating but did make it up to P11 after pitting so my iR actually went up. Now I have to go race something safe to get back to A(4.99)...

Week 1

My redemption race was a mixed bag. Sim Lab PCC Mustang FR500S @ Daytona (legacy). Q'ed P3, with one of the Mustang hot shoes (GG Griffin) on pole and P2 was about the same pace in the 2:04s with me about 3/4 sec off.
I just wanted a clean race, blew that by looping Lap 1 it exiting the infield to watch all of the Mazdas go by and pick up 2X and a wheel off in the poorly lighted Bus Stop later in the race gave me another for a 3X total. Thankfully no scary moments with the Mazdas but it took 3-4 laps to patiently pass them all.
I had enough speed to get back to P3 but I was essentially waived by both P4 and P3 with Griffin out early in the race for some reason.
This version was pretty poor in the dark, bad headlights pattern, track black when outside the beam spread, not much fun, done with PCC races for the week because of it unless the Efnet boyz want to run there Sunday evening and I'm here.
Lost a manageable amount of Safety Rating (-0.09) but now my hole is even deeper @ A(4.56)
Q3 / R2 / -0.09 / +47 = A(4.56 x 1624)

I think that we're going to potentially have 3 or 4 of us for a Sim Lab PCC Mustang race this evening. The possible race start times are 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30 PDT. 25 minute timed races, typically clean within class BUT it can be a challenge to stay ahead of the Mazdas. Safer would Soltices but no one gets very excited about those even though they'd probably be a four-wide blast at Daytona and everyone has the Solstice. My Safety Rating is afraid of the Mazda class

Gambled on a Formula Vee race @ Lime Rock and was having a good time including a fair amount of clean side by side until I was subjected to the spacial awareness and time/distance calculation inadequacies of Sergio Guerra (A x 1.04 x 1684). Starkly contrasts with the 40 minute FV Weekend Warriors league race that I did Saturday. I knew better but there isn't a car with better sight lines and it's the slowest car on the service (unless the Solstice is). Lost 0.20 SR that I would much rather have bet on a Brazilian stock car race

Did some time trial and a Sim Lab PCC (Soltice) race @ Daytona for SR recovery.
Despite only two entries, the Sim Lab race might have been fun but the pole sitter was full of erratic behavior on the formation lap; delayed leaving the grid even though there was only one car in the Jetta class ahead, sped up to formation lap speed until I almost even with him, slowed to jogging speed until the Jetta disappeared into the distance, then sped up drastically but not quite warmup lap speed, then kinda sorta formation lap speed once we caught up to the rest of the field from he was kinda sorta steady for a bit, then slowed again as if to let me go which wasn't supposed to happen with him on pole, so slow to a crawl again, then back some semblance of formation lap speed until the green was imminent at which point he started jumping on the throttle which happened 4 or 5 times till the green finally came out and I left the Crackhead Yoyo Man (Michael Brown53, (A2.58 x 1356) behind. Most stressful formation lap ever. (Q2 / R1 / 0X / +0.04 / +46 (A4.70 x 1581).
Disappointed by the SR payout for the Solstice race but more tired than I'd want to be a for another race, I did 29 laps with the Radical SR8 @ Tsukuba to net +0.07 SR in less than 30 minutes with my FL on lap 29.

I'm either done with or will be very selective going forward with the Brazilian stock cars as it turned out to be a worse bet @ Interlagos than my unfun race with the Formula Vee on Sunday.
They seem like a great idea, minimal adjustments, low grip so you have to drive them but that translated to harder to control which is, duh, the last thing we need with a grid full of Fellow Humans. 6X before completing three corners, ended with a 9X and was an emergency brake jab away from a race-ender after getting my door plowed into between T2 and T3 @ Interlagos. Finished the race thinking that Porsche Cup is safer. Major SR pain.
Something glitched out with internet and/or iRacing, only had time for one lap of warmup practice before Q, cost me in qualifying with mistakes on the first flying lap and a wheel off on the second, gridded 20 of 27. Too many incidents to recall or recount, pleased that I didn't save the replay else I might spend an hour on videos.
Q20 / R14 / 8X / -0.31 / +19 (A4.46 x 1600) which is where I'll end Week 1 with a total of -0.81 negative impact from Sim Lab PCC, Formula Vee and the Brazlian stock cars, offset by fours races without any Avoidable Contact (Sim Lab PCC Mustang and Soltice and IMSA Pilot Challenge BMW M4 GT4 and Honda Civic Type R TC) and seven time trials up to 30 minutes each which makes the work:fun ratio incalculable because we can't divide by zero.
3 of 7 races ruined; week 1 ruined race average (RRA) = 0.429
End the week A4.46 x 1600
