It looks like Sim Lab PCC @ Road Atlanta for me this week.
Maybe I'll take a chance on the Miatas in addition to the Mustang class.

Only two official road races for me this week, both Sim Lab PCC Ford Mustang FR500S @ Road Atlanta. Race 1, qualified P3 of 5, let an Eager Beaver or two go on the start, was contesting P3 within a few laps, spun on my own cresting after the esses, distracted by a Mazda that had fallen at least a lap behind, moving across the track rather than staying right to let me by. 2X with heavy bodywork damage and dropped me to last place in class with the Mazda leaders just ahead of me. I was able to pass them once on the back straight but a decided to let them go after a bobble, felt like I was adversely effecting their race not having much more pace due to the aero damage. Some laps later, I let a pack of ~7 Mazdas by for the same reason, had accepted my fate to minimize the SR hit. After that, did a dirt Street Stock race with Pat and Mike, no practice. Avoided spun cars like pylons, maybe bumped another car once, was happy that the race was only 5 minutes, felt much longer. Dirt Oval is my last Rookie license, I am reminded why, will take forever to accumulate SR. Mike called it a night so Pat and I ran around Summit Point with the Formula Vees which reminds how much fun they should be to race. After Pat expired, I did a Time Trial with the Mustang, intending to get dinner after but the timing was right to do my planned redemption race so I signed up for another PCC race. Race 2, Q2 of 4. Usual safety first start but led the first few laps as an Eager Beaver went wide @ T1 on cold tires until I succumbed to trust issues and let him pass me. Gave up another spot not trusting that guy and hoping that those two would take each other out. Instead, one pulled away after some clean racing and I resumed a fight for P2 that involved at least 1/2 of the race distance with good, clean, close racing (albeit I was largely in control of how good and clean as I was following) that had me rolling out of the throttle in the draft in the late laps, all-in on a last lap draft and pass. With real world peripheral vision, I might have done it but safe through the final chicane with us side by side at the turn-in point made me too slow to capitalize on his (Joe Kientz) wheelspin and step out and I finished P3 by 0.279 sec. Unless I somehow squeeze a race in this afternoon, I ended the week A / 4.99 / 1489 with no anger issues
