Too much Not Fun, will confine iRacing to weeknights and probably Friday or Saturday night, no more Sundays. Mondays suck bad enough without disappointed and irritated Sundays.

Well, Sunday 16:15 PST turned out to be my first opportunity to get a Michelin Pilot Race in. Wish I hadn't. Another shit week. Hours of Time Trials and three No Contest races trying to get my Safety Rating back only to get fucked by another sim-gamer, Daniel Hurlock2 and possibly a glitch. As a reference to outsiders, the Efnet regulars can lap for HOURS with each other without knocking each other off the track if we try just a little bit.

Sorry for all the of the negativity but I'm only reporting what's interesting. Trust that I would much rather be raving about iRacing.
I also entered three races with the Solstice @ Road Atlanta Short, the layout being much more fun than I expected. I managed to avoid trouble in all of those other than dropping a wheel here and there. Two of these were lonely with no others in-class IIRC, the third could have probably been a close race if I wasn't so worried about Safety Rating, trusted the other driver and weren't so impacted by the three faster classes coming through which broke us up with me more compromised than he was on too many instances.
I am extra unhappy now as I've had time to stew on the GT4 race, Sonoma being one of my favorite tracks and my home track and that I also missed Philip Island, another favorite, for being burned out on being compelled to assess risk before I can register for a race and then risk manage for the entirety of the race as it's basically impossible to race like I've been used to with us, every race seems to have at least one Yowan, each with his own specialized way to ruin someone's race.

So after your shot Tom at setting up a fun server with the skid pad not being possible. We then jumped into a couple of races, first the Dalara at legacy Daytona being what I expected from fellow drivers and the track/ car combo wanting to destroy our wheels. Next using the legacy pickup trucks at the same track was a lot more fun and I was doing great at least for me until I got caught up in a crash while in the lead pack of 5.
On Sunday night Pat and Mike were on, Mike was in a race so Pat and I entered a couple of truck races again, still fun until getting taken out by someone's issue or overdriving.
But here is an observation, both races practice and more so the second one because of getting 15 minutes practice before the race started we had great driving lap after lap of a group of 3-5, side by side through the banking, drafting, pushing and passing and no incidents. Then race time the shit show at some point. My conclusion is in practice the groups we hooked with are GOOD drivers and because Pat and I know how to drive NASCAR ovals from years of doing it but our iRating in ovals is low the good drivers are not in the splits we end up in for the race.
All this oval racing I've been doing is not counting for anything to help out the rating. So I'm going to try and do some Legends and or Street Stocks to increase that. I'm glad the races haven't counted to take the hits but increasing the rating might equal getting with better drivers and more fun. I don't even have a Oval rating yet.
