Again, too much this week to seriously tackle.
With at least three GT3 series this week, I am going to enter some races with the Mercedes AMG GT3, especially hoping to be able to share the car for the 160 minute team race @ Watkins Glen, probably Saturday 10:00 AM PST is the only time that will work for me. Fanatec GT3 (20 minutes) @ Redbull Ring and IMSA Hagerty (45 minutes) are much more accessible but having to only choose one, I'd go with the 45 minute race.
Being so much opposites, racing both the BMW M4 GT4 and the TC Honda Civic Type R in the IMSA Pilot Challenge series will make me slower in both than I might otherwise be so I may force myself pick one soon. I think that I might be enjoying the BMW a little more. Red Bull Ring National layout, which I hadn't seen before.
As much as I like Nordschliefe and the Porsche Cup cars, I can't spend more time there unless I'm going to enter a race, which I won't. I think that I like the version without the GP section better, we run around similar tracks all of the time but I guess that's probably because there isn't a single fun corner on the GP track section.
I had to do a lap in 1st gear with the FV to figure out which way the Charlotte layout runs with ill-defined track direction in at least two places and two more where see you see cones but don't know what they mean until your close. After I figured it, it was immersive fun and paid a fair chunk of SR (0.03) for the quick Time Trial that I've been doing early in the week to sample what's available.
Sim Lab PCC is at Spa. Mustang or Soltice for me. If Mustang, I'll need some practice with the intention of entering a race with a good number of other Fords, noticed 8 of them in one of the results yesterday. I suspect that if all one did was race the Soltice, he'd have far more than the average number of clean and close races than we've been getting elsewhere but it's so rare to see more than 2 or 3 of them entered and I'm usually very happy to be the only one so that I can repair my Safety Rating in an especially low stress way.
It's sad that for a car that is so easy to keep on the track, too many can't keep the Mazdas from hitting other cars so the best thing going with base content is probably Formula Vee @ Charlotte.
