Too much to choose from this week. I have Advanced Mazda, BMW 12.0, Global Fanatec, Porsche Cup and Sim Lab PCC.
It seems like the best race would be the Mazdas @ Road Atlanta or Cadillacs @ Sonoma.

It'll be my usual Tuesday Supercup (Open), Thursday V8 Supercars, and probably a weekend IMSA Hagerty (P2) at some point. Also have a couple league events this week to prep and run, Autobahn (P2 @ Daytona Test Race) & Majors MTEC (TCR @ CotA). Going to be a busy week to try to manage all the racing/testing while working 60hrs this week.

Supercup - Official series. Porsche 992 Cup Supercars - Official series. Aussie Holden & Mustang Supercars IMSA Hagerty - Official series. Dallara P217, GTE & GT3 (I forget which specific GTE & GT3 models are in the series as they are limited due to car cap of 8.) Autobahn - Private league mimicking next year's IMSA format of P2 & GT3 (Pro & Am. All GT3 except Ford & Mclaren). 60-90 minute races. Broadcast. MTEC - Private league. Majors Team Endurance Championship. GT3 (BMW, Lamborghini, AMG, & Porsche), GT4 (all), & TCR (Audi RS3). 4hr races. Top split broadcast. Probably the toughest jump is going from the P2 right into the V8SC. They are on completely opposite ends of the handling spectrum.

If you've ever got questions, feel free to ask. I make it a point not to push iRacing on people because I know it's a bit of an expense to really get started in it. When you can, get your 8 weeks in one series (gets you $4-5) and when you do lease content, take advantage of the bulk discounts. Once you have a backstock of content the ongoing cost is tolerable.
Also now through 12/5 they are doing 25% off 1yr & 2 yr subscriptions.

Well, shit, I staggered Porsche Cup and Porsche Cup Fixed series a couple of weeks so now I can't get to 8 rounds with either one of them. I started the season entering both but one week I only did Porsche Cup and another week, I only entered Porsche Cup Fixed so I've only done 4 rounds with each. Porsche Cup factored into my track purchases for the season but I guess that I've found myself liking the old Porsche 991 a little more and have been less enthusiastic about racing the 992.
That mistake will end up costing me $2 and forcing me to do the remainder of the BMW 12.0 series to avoid "losing" another $4.
The sad part is that I realized that I don't like the BMW M4 GT4 with the fixed (or open) setup nearly as much as the Porsches; closer racing, theoretically, but the Porsche is much more fun to drive. I know that we're only talking about $6 but getting paid to race even such a paltry sum is nice.
I've locked in the $4 credit for Sim Lab PCC already. We get $10 per season, $4 per C and D license series.
Good news is that it makes this week less busy, easier to focus on one or two cars.
I got a race in with the Solstice @ Long Beach so I'm happy to skip any more races there, too high a probability of being un-fun with any of the other cars, especially the Miatas. I almost trust the faster Mustang drivers but the risk to reward is too high; I can run around in practice with the Efnet boyz and have more fun with no stress.
I'll probably get the BMWs over with today (Wednesday). All else being equal, it's the biggest SR risk with only 12 minute races paying very little positive safety rating but a chance to pick up iRating quickly. I'll require at least an hour of practice from myself and will be consider the number of entries when race time comes as I can probably make 3 or 4 of the start times work.
For me, the Cadillacs are more fun @ Sonoma than the BMWs are @ Redbull Ring so if I had to choose two series for Friday or Saturday night fun, then I'd go with the CTS-V in wine country and Mazdas @ Road Atlanta. I can certainly be talked into group fun with Mazdas and Mustangs @ Long Beach, though.

I kicked off the week with a decent BMW 12.0 race. Well, by iRacing public room standards, I guess it was great race. Three of us up front, no contact.
Went to shit after that.
Looking forward to running around with you guys Saturday night.

Up and down weekend for me. I only raced one race each night with the Mazda at Oulton Park short track, really liked the car on this version of the track. Saturday night I started good but a accordion accident in the last corner for some reason made my car 3 seconds slower per lap. It was all downhill from there, finished 11th last running car on track with 7x.
Sunday nights race went a lot better, Qualyed mid pack in 6th same as previous night. Got into 4th on the start and on the bumper of 3rd. He made a mistake after a bit going off, so now in 3rd chasing 2nd for a few laps. I even got along side of him at one point but he blocked me by moving over on me. This allowed him to gap me. So ran in 3rd most of the race with 4th fading behind me with a ever increasing gap. Last lap 2nd really tried to force his way to 1st and caused a slight incident with 1st. This allowed me to get close then he went off wide in the last turn giving me 2nd place.
So gained back plus more of what I lost on Saturday night

Week 10 Race 1: 2021-11-17 18:30 / BMW 12.0 @ Red Bull Ring (BMW M4 GT4 fixed setup)
Participation credit race that worked out well. I actually was in the lead for a few seconds against 2549 and 3338 rated drivers. They both raced clean, anticipated, left room. The only mistake that I made was to try 4th gear for a couple of corners where I’d be using 3rd, lost touch with P1 and P2 who had made few mistakes that had kept me in touch.
Q5 / R3 / 0X / +0.03 / +69 (B / 4.74 / 1674) CLEAN RACE
Week 10 Race 2: 2021-11-17 23:30 / Sim Lab PCC @ Long Beach (Ford Mustang FR500S)
Proving time and time again that throwing caution to the wind rarely works out for me.
I find myself enjoying the Mustang and looked like I had decent pace so I went ahead and entered a race, even though there were only two class entries. I qualified on pole against a 800 rated driver so I was prepared to let him go to crash out or for me to pass at will. Of course, the Miata polesitter Taine Venables (Australia, B / 3.06 / 3918) jumped the start, which prompted me to nice guy my way to letting the second (Dallas J Alexander, Australia, C / 3.19 / 1286) pass so that I wouldn’t interfere with their race and was promptly punished when they got into each other after the fountain on Lap 2 and I got caught it up in it. Crash and quit, real weak show of character, Taine and Dallas. The damage to my car slowed pace by enough that the P2 Mustang was catching me and a marvel of racecraft Alexandros Roussis (“International”, C / 2.44 / 916) went for the pass at the apex of T1. All he had to do was wait one more fucking lap and pull along side or blow by but, no, had to put me in the wall on lap 5 or 6 or whatever the fuck it was.
Yayyy, lost a chunk of SR and iR in race that I knew not to enter.
Q1 / R2 / 10X / -0.28 / -70 (B / 4.48 / 1604) RUINED RACE
Week 10 Race 3: 2021-11-18 00:30 / Sim Lab PCC @ Long Beach (Pontiac Solstice)
I was all wound up unhappy from the 11:30 race so I signed up for another one with the almost always safe Soltice to earn back some SR. Ran the full race with no other car in class 0X but the results vanished so that evidently that was a waste of 45 minutes that left me angrier than I had been an hour earlier. iRacing went down for maintenance soon thereafter, glitch or maybe there weren’t enough entries overall? No, 6 drivers make it official. That’s 3 weeks in this set of 12 that I know of that I’ve taken it in the ass on either SR or iR because of a system failure.
iRacing glitch NO RESULTS
Week 10 Race 4: 2021-11-18 23:30 / BMW 12.0 @ Red Bull Ring (BMW M4 GT4 fixed setup)
I was in the mood and had decent pace, entered in hopes of an enjoyable race and to maybe pick up some iRating without losing Safety Rating.
Is exactly how it would have worked out if Laurent Corbes (France, B /2.03 / 1702) would have just calmed the fuck down and raced with me rather than run into me on corner exit from the last turn on LAP 1 when we already had a comfortable gap back to P3. No racecraft whatsoever but that’s to be expected from The Hoard.
I did hopefully learn to get going again a faster after an incident. I had to take several deep breaths and vent with in-race chat, the time wasted more than accounted for the gap front of me at the finish. I could have probably salvaged a top half result.
PM sent:
It seems like you've come from video games or watching racing on TV. Focus on racing clean rather than frantically trying to finish ahead of the car ahead of you. If everyone did that, imagine how great the racing would be. This isn't motocross nor NASCAR. All we had to do was run our laps without contact and we would have finished 1st and 2nd, I don't care one bit who would have won, just hoping for a quick enjoyable race. Instead, you finished last and I got spanked on my Safety Rating and will be spending hours getting it back.
Q2 / R4 / 10X / -0.28 / -43 (B / 4.29 / 1561) RUINED RACE
Week 10 Race 5: 2021-11-19 01:30 / Sim Lab PCC @ Long Beach (Pontiac Solstice)
OCD with regaining SR. Time Trials laps were paying too little SR for the time spent, hot lapping alone feeling like work, jumped into a Sim Lab race to speed things up.
Q1 / R1 / 0X / +0.10 / 0 (B / 4.42 / 1561) NO CONTEST CLEAN RACE
Week 10 Race 6: 2021-11-19 02:30 / Sim Lab PCC @ Long Beach (Pontiac Solstice)
OCD with regaining SR. Time Trials laps were paying too little SR for the time spent, hot lapping alone feeling like work, jumped into a Sim Lab race to speed things up.
Notably, the previous race paid 0.10 this one only 0.09, the only difference being that I did a full cool down lap after the 01:30 race.
Q1 / R1 / 0X / +0.09 / 0 (B / 4.51 / 1561) NO CONTEST CLEAN RACE
Week 10 Race 7: 2021-11-19 17:30 / Global Fanatec Challenge @ Sonoma (Cadillac CTS-VR)
My home track, had to run at least one race, CTS-V is fun here. Two good races in one week, pinch me. Thanks, Ed Rest (USA, B / 3.68 / 3452) and Kyle Heath (USA, C / 2.95 / 1357) for racing clean and close.
Q2 / R3 / 1X / +0.08 / +46 (B / 4.59 / 1606) CLEAN RACE
Week 10 Race 8: 2021-11-21 16:15 / Advanced Mazda MX-5 @ Road Atlanta
45 minute race, three splits, seeded 20/21 in the top split.
I put a wheel off on my second flying qualifying lap which put me further back on the grid than I otherwise might have been, P18.
It ended up not mattering as I jumped the start, let the clutch out when the lights turned red, so I let everyone go to with a 7 second Stop and Go penalty to be served.
Lapping alone, I figure I was down about a second a lap to the cars that were benefiting from the draft, couldn’t make any headway. Drove around for a 0X, picked up positions through attrition and I’m guessing fuel stops by some who weren’t aware of the 45 minute duration to finish 15th.
Q18 / R15 / 0X / +0.17 / -19 (B / 4.76 / 1588) NO CONTEST CLEAN RACE

To hopefully temper my feelings, I'm going to classify my own races by "clean race", "no contest clean race", "my fault" and "ruined race" and keep track of them in a simple spreadsheet.
"No contest clean race" means that I purposely started in the back or in the pits and/or avoided any wheel to wheel racing with other drivers.
"My fault" means that I was guilty of avoidable contact that cost another driver or myself positions.
