Thanks Tom for the heads up. I was aware of this but last time I checked there was nothing close to me. Looked again here and there is 5 events this summer at a place I'm familiar with, it's a place I've raced my kart at and watched a couple of Autocross events at. It's about an hour away from me, might have to check it out with the Mustang but would be more fun with the Camaro.

So I looked at this again and considering going to watch this Wednesday. But it begins at 4:30 and goes till about 7:30, so by the time I leave work at 4:30 and get there at 5:45 not much time left. The next one is later in Sept. and is on a Friday, but it will be getting darker sooner by then too. The cost is $175 to run 3 sessions, WOW! I think I'll do Autocross where it cost about $40 before doing one of those. Also looked at actual track day racing at Brainerd Raceway. First level looks like it would be Performance Driving School which is all day, instructor in your car, costs $424. The next level is Club Racing at Brainerd and looks like a couple events per season, but this is a whole different level, need SCCA license, log book, roll bar and driving suit, I can't find what this costs to run yet.

Which track, KJ?
I did a season or so of autocross which was enough for me to be done with that forever. Spend all day for 4-6 runs. Maybe they do something different now with test or practice days when do as many runs as you can get in line for. A one-time bucket list $40 seems worth it, though.
Coffey went to the autocross nationals 2 or 3 times. I'm pretty sure that he was second at least one year but he drove someone else's car; hell, he never drove his own car, people liked to use him for a benchmark. When he bought his Toyota FRS he mentioned an that an occasional autocross was a thought but seeing how he's gone once kinda illustrates how exciting that it is.

It would be here for Autocross and Track Day America, it's the road system out behind the campus on the map. They have lots of different configurations they can do, there is elevation changes too. Also there is Autocross north of me about 45 minute drive versus hour fifteen to this location. I just figure I can at least try it once and see how it goes, dctc.college-tour.com/campus-map
