I forget what the mod was called but we used the rFactor version for the annual Bathurst race. IIRC, there was always one car that was superior to the rest so I think that one year we started dropping the previous year's winner to force other cars to be used. At the time we had enough drivers for multiclass (three?) so that basically made for three winning cars.
I have a little interest in trying them but I can't justify spending the time right now. No one misses that mod but maybe they are surprisingly good and fun. Try 'em out, Barry and let us know.

Nice variety of cars each with their own characteristics, had to use the old UI to select cars and track in single player mode, can you do this in the new UI?. I tried each one at Barbagallo and all were within a few seconds of each other, maybe a couple are a bit fast. I think this is a very nice mod.

Yes, you can drive any car and any track in single player with the new UI. I can't describe how exactly without the sim in front of me but poke around or Google it, it's not hard just different than the old UI. I guess we could have a spec series or maybe two or three cars that are close. "A few seconds" gap is huge and won't work for a series. A difference of a few tenths is excellent, "on the same second" has usually been close enough understanding that one car or another may require more effort from its driver.

I only did one lap per car which isn't really enough, I should have said a few seconds between fastest and slowest, the other cars were about 1 second between them.

Fucking Mediafire links.
I tried the first one in the list. Clicking download opened two new tabs with at least three popups on the second tab. I closed the unwanted two tabs and the download continued. Computer malware being nothing in light of Covid, I threw caution to the wind and also tried the Sierra Cosworth link which led to a page claiming that the file no longer exits while presenting a DOWNLOAD button.
I'm not touching a Mediafire link ever again.
Barry, sorry but if you want these cars to be considered, you'll need to upload the .rfcmp files and provide links to a trustworthy cloud service. You can use the efnetsimracing Google Drive, PM me for info.

I tried about half of them at Portland.
~140-170 mph top speed, lots of grip, the brakes felt more realistic than many others, minimal aero adjustments (1 or 2 positions rear wing, brake ducts and probably radiator tape), two dry slick tire compounds plus one wet. The steering feel was fair to okay, I didn't pay much attention to sounds but maybe the Nissan and one or the other Holden made some good noises, driver's view of the dashes was nice enough. The Volvo looked nicer and was faster than I was expecting from what I remembered of it from rFactor.
The slowest one is faster than I'd want for the next series but we might be able to make a two or three car Australian Touring Car series out of them, based on how they performed in their rF1 versions. I had my eye on a V8 Supercar series with the RSM cars but maybe we can do these instead or too.
