My race 1 replay didn't save so I'm anxiously waiting on it to see wtf happened with Dave during that race. I'll give him a pre-emptive sorry just in case. Btw, crew chief app really does help (just not around Dave) ;p

We missed you Rich! Great racing last night. Thanks Tom for the replay of race 1. I just watched it & saw some good racing with Pat & Dave. Sadly, I think my car went a bit left before the turn and I got into it with Dave. From watching his wheel, he seemed to be going straight so I caused the incident of us going off. Sorry Dave. It was a good fight until then. I'll take whatever is handed to me as penalty.
Sad to see KJ having so many connection issues. With the low car count, we can't afford to be drop a racer during the race.

Thanks for checking in Rich.
No problem, Mike.
As far as a penalty, you present a dilemma.
We are all supposed to report and judge as far as our own fault any contact that we are involved in that negatively affects other drivers. Report contact and state whether it was your fault or not, exactly as Mike did above.
I haven't and won't watch every lap by every driver but I did notice an incident at Round 2 COTA that should have been mentioned and there probably have been others that went unmentioned and unnoticed so I don't feel great about penalizing you.
I'm grateful that 7 of us show up pretty reliably but it seems like no one is too worried about championship points, more just being competitive on any given Sunday and enjoying a good race.
I checked the results for Race 1. It looks like your incident was lap 7 which would equate to a 12 second (Hutty's lap time on Lap 7 vs the fastest lap of the race) or one position, whichever is greater; one position penalty in this case.
A reminder during the driver's meeting is overdue so I'll mention it on Sunday.
Everyone PLEASE, either 'fess up here or correct for it during the race by relinquishing what you gained.

Oh, yeah, sadly, that's a seemingly regular occurrence for KJ I have no idea whether I've just been lucky or that guaranteeing that no one else in the house has internet access on race night explains no issues for me that I can recall. At one track or another when I was streaming our race live, I had some lag and low frame rate but that's the worst that I can remember. Hell, Barry, who is connected to our server by a cable in the ocean, has had fewer problems than KJ. WTF?

Results are posted.
Mike lost a podium and some points but hopefully more than offset by good karma and surely by reputation gained.

I did a lot of laps here with the Radical and some other cars, thanks in large part to the return of teammate Rich Coffey, at least for fun and practice ahead of Sunday as his work schedule prevents him from racing with us.
As is often the case, we all found a little extra speed on Sunday and I was pleased to put the Ford Ecoboost 3.5 liter V6 turbo powered #26 Radical RXC GT3 on pole for the third time this season.
Unfortunately, for the second time this season, I started a race with the fuel setting on #1 Pace Car and had to fight hard through the first few corners to keep the lead. It took most of the lap for me to realize my error and turn the fuel back up. About half distance, Pat Sweeney (Callaway Corvette GT3)caught me and I didn't have the race pace to hold him off nor re-pass him but I was able to hold onto P2 at the checkers.
Front tire wear was a problem for us here. I also am getting the feeling that being what I assume is the lightest car, added fuel weight affects performance more than it does the heavier and more powerful cars but that less certain a factor than over-using the front tires. I made a small adjustment for Race 2 but I didn't check tire wear at any point so no idea if it helped; turning seemed a little better, though.
I don't remember much about Race 2 other than early in the race Pat going off onto the grass exiting the chicane and barely ticking my right rear as spun back across the track. From the cockpit, it looked I was going to just barely miss him but around I went without even feeling an impact. I was happy to gain a position back and gain some distance over Pat but the time lost put the leaders out of reach.
This was surprisingly difficult track, seems simple enough until you start chasing tenths of a second and repeatable quick laps.
The next two race weekends will be at very familiar Road Atlanta.

Another piss poor race night for me, one to two seconds off pace, spin off track in the opening laps to be 13 seconds down on the field then get disconnected from the server. Beyond frustrated!
