We had three drop-in drivers this evening.
Long story short, looking back on the evening, two of them seemed to fit, one did not.
No one especially cares how fast or slow you are but we do admire those who race well and have little to zero tolerance for those who cause problems.
Mistakes are expected but so is sportsmanship and respect for everyone who races with us. If you have a fragile ego that depends on success in an online sim race, check your ego at the door or go race somewhere else. This a racing club where we have become friends that strives for the best possible balance of realism and fun. Bashing cars out of the way is neither realistic nor fun.
Moving forward, the server will be locked from Official Practice and drivers who don't have Teamspeak set up with 30 minutes left in Official Practice will be asked to come back next week.
I haven't watched the replays yet but my impression is that if we remove the incidents caused by one driver, it was a really good night of racing, especially considering that this was our first go with these cars compounded by a tricky race course.

The overall winner this week is really easy to calculate.
Dave Hutton (BWM M6 GT3) swept the weekend; two wins, pole and fast laps in both. Well done!
I intend to post results by the end of my day Wednesday.
Next up is COTA Twin Sprint.

Another thing is that I also let the 107% rule (over 107% of pole time gets moved to the back for Race 2) slide for Race 2. Won't happen again, only takes a minute to check Liveracers.
We love you Barry but you and everyone else need owe it to yourselves to get enough practice to be competent at any given track. You and everyone else will enjoy the races more.
107% is pretty generous, even with only 16 laps mathematically that makes for being lapped by the leaders.

With the numerous restarts, I only have the replay for the last race.
The appearance of the replay was remarkable for the way that the track was rubbered in.
With the AI spinning out at The Corkscrew and humans on the server when I reset it, I didn't have any AI on track for Official Practice so all of the rubber was from us which evidently made for a much more realistic racing line.
Since our transition to rF2, I had been adding 13 AI for the first 30 minutes of Official Practice with a 15X multiplier.
Due to the success at Laguna Seca, I am going to change it up for at least the next round and go with the "naturally progressing" setting @ 15X with no AI for Official Practice.
This will also help the Weekly Hot Lap "competition" that we have going by removing AI from those results. Week 1 winner Mark Krus was very quick but he was also smart, using the AI to get a tow at Portland which may have increased the dominance of his best lap time.

Congrats Dave on your win and to the rest of the podium as well. I need to get a lot better. Just kept losing the rear here. Have done much if anything to the set so maybe I'll find some magic. Looking forward to more races and hoping we can gain new drivers. Good luck fellas, see you all at COTA

Congrats Dave on the wins and to the rest of the podium finishers.
What a disastrous start to the season for me. Started mid field race one and was doing ok till I hit a hotdog and spun off track, came back on track 17 seconds in back of the field. A few laps later I got disconnected from the server, came back on a lap down or so. Was racing with Deadbolt and caught up to do a inside pass in turn 3, he got a wiggle on exit and tapped into me sending me to the wall Killed the engine, race over.
Race two more issues, started front row and was doing good for a bunch of laps but realized for some reason my "Race Set" had the wrong amount of fuel. After leading the first half of the race I had to come in at the end of lap 8 for gas. So that finished off my race, just ran around towards the back to the end.
Hopefully COTA goes better for me.

Race 1: half spin @ The Corkscrew, off-track into tire wall while P2 chasing Hutty, bashed hard by Maycroft at the apex of T9 after regaining racing surface still in P2, slow and bent car fell to 5th.
Race 2: ran first 3 laps with fuel setting on Pace Car thanks in part to race director duties, gained positions due to others' misfortunes, half spin at Corkscrew again but only ran wide this time, hung on for P2, should have been P3 but KJ pitted for fuel.
I've certainly had worse races but caused by me and caused by others rarely if ever.
A 5-2 feels like a throwaway candidate with Hutton's perfect weekend and huge looking points lead.
